Sobia Irfan Hashmi
Your Local Pharmacist and Community Care Advocate
Sobia Irfan Hashmi is a trusted and compassionate pharmacist with over 20 years of experience caring for patients across metropolitan, regional, and rural South Australia. Since 2004, she has helped thousands of people manage their medications, access vital health services, and feel supported through every stage of their health journey.
Known for her warm approach and dedication to community wellbeing, Sobia has co-founded several inclusive pharmacies, especially in rural areas, and mentors overseas-trained pharmacists to become valued contributors to our healthcare system. Her service has earned her several major honors, including:

•Governor’s Multicultural Award (SA) 2021
•Ambassador for the Australia Day Council

Muhammad Sami
Registered Pharmacist | Vaccination Provider | Mental Health First Aid Pharmacist
Muhammad Sami is a qualified pharmacist who graduated from the University of Lahore, Pakistan, and relocated to Australia in 2024. He completed his internship at Coober Pedy Pharmacy, gaining firsthand experience in delivering healthcare to remote and multicultural communities.After successfully passing the AHPRA registration exam, Sami is now a fully registered pharmacist at Aussie Care Hub – Midnight Pharmacy in Adelaide.
He is also an accredited vaccinating pharmacist and a certified Mental Health First Aid provider, equipped to support patients with both physical and emotional wellbeing.
In his commitment to culturally safe care, Sami has successfully completed the Deadly Pharmacist course through the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA). This training has deepened his understanding of the health needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, with a focus on building trust, improving access, and delivering respectful, inclusive pharmacy services across South Australia.
Known for his compassion, calm demeanour, and patient-first mindset, Muhammad Sami is passionate about delivering high-quality care to everyone who walks through the pharmacy door — whether local, rural, or from First Nations communities.
Irfan Hashmi

Irfan Hashmi is a widely respected pharmacist with over 20 years of experience delivering healthcare across metropolitan, regional, and remote South Australia. Known for his commitment to equitable access and culturally responsive care, Irfan actively works with multicultural communities, rural towns, and professional networks to improve health outcomes.
He is a proud member of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia, the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, the South Australia Sports Medicine Association, and the Pakistani Medical Association of South Australia. He is also a member of the Multicultural Communities Council of SA Inc., and the founder of the Multicultural Australian Pharmacy Foundation (MAPF), which supports the integration of overseas-trained pharmacists into the Australian healthcare system.
Irfan’s efforts have been recognised with prestigious honours, including:
• Pharmacist of the Year 2009 – Pharmaceutical Society of Australia
• Australian of the Year 2025 – South Australia Local Hero

Beyond pharmacy, Irfan has a deep passion for cricket and sports heritage. He is the founder of the Australian Pavilion Sports Memorabilia Museum, a national project that celebrates iconic moments in cricket and connects people through a shared sporting culture.

Jasmeet Kaur

Jasmeet Kaur is a dedicated Intern Pharmacist with a Bachelor of Pharmacy and a Master’s in Forensic Science and Toxicology. Passionate about delivering patient-centred care, Jasmeet focuses on helping individuals feel confident and supported in managing their health.With expertise in medication counselling, vaccinations, and over-the-counter product recommendations, Jasmeet is committed to ensuring every healthcare experience is simple, safe, and stress-free.
Specialized training in Mental Health First Aid allows Jasmeet to provide a compassionate, judgment-free space for open conversations about mental wellbeing. Equipped to conduct medication reviews and deliver a full range of professional pharmacy services, Jasmeet brings both knowledge and empathy to every interaction.

Hasaan Hashmi
Dispensary technician | multicultural community leader
Hassan Hashmi is a dedicated Dispensary Technician currently working at TerryWhite Chemmart Cumberland Park Pharmacy, with over 8 years of experience supporting pharmacy services in regional and remote communities across South Australia, including Coober Pedy and Port Pirie.
Hassan played an active role in the Coober Pedy Pharmacy team, which was proudly recognised as Pharmacy of the Year 2022 among over 400 pharmacies in the Pharmacy Choice network—a testament to his commitment to delivering excellence in patient care.
In addition to his healthcare work, Hassan is a well-respected multicultural community leader, currently serving as the President of the Port Pirie Multicultural Community. His work focuses on promoting diversity, intercultural harmony, and community engagement, especially in regional South Australia.
He was honoured as a Finalist in the 2022 Governor’s Multicultural Awards of South Australia for his outstanding contributions to multiculturalism.
Beyond pharmacy and community service, Hassan has also served his country through civic participation, working at Australian Electoral Commission polling stations across four state and federal elections, ensuring fair and accessible voting processes.
